Default Wierd little things

Check out these wierd little things i picked up from Newark yesterday


Indian Red Velvet Mites got the 3 for a fiver (wot a bonus)

They are only about 10mm long but they realy do grow on you (not literly).
Apparantly they feed on small bugs, crickets, hoppers etc. I was told to get leaf litter as they will feed on the bugs that live in it.

their velvet mites arent they?
those are particularly big species compared to typical UK ones, but there is a reletively big one in uk, well compared to all other uk species that is

They are soo coool.

I wish they were native to the UK. I didnt think you could really buy them as pets....hehe, they look fun. Good luck with them!

I saw them too and wondered if I might get away with it, 'cos they are well cute, but gave up on the idea 'cos I had no idea how to look after them and nothing was prepared. I also remember a star trek called "trouble with tribbles" and they look exactly like very small tribbles
