Default Help Please

One of my Gramastola Cala has just produced a huge egg sack, I have been keeping Ts for a few years now, but never had any experience in nursing mother Tarantulas, I bought this T about a month ago and had no idea this would happen. The egg sack has just been produced today, what should i do in regards of looking after my nursing T and the little sling;s that may be inside the sack, and how long will it be before the tiny sling's appear. Any advice would be most gratefully appreciated

Bout eight weeks, its normally recommended you take it out at six weeks and open the sack and put the slings into separate tubs at the nymph stage. Nothing really needs to be done, she may not eat during the time but try feeding her just in case, she will also need water.

I don't think G. cala is used anymore? I believe they're the RCF rosea's?? Any pics of mum out and about?

In regards to mother care... DO NOT DISTURB HER!!!!!! Don't move the tank, put food in... anythin!! Chile rose like to eat their egg sacs!

Keep her exactly as you have, and with a water supply. At about 6 weeks you can remove it (it will be a battle with mum!) and put it into an incubator to incubate any live nymphs, or leave it with mum until it hatches into slings, then just capture them out of the tank

If you want any tips on incubators gimme a shout!

lol

Leave it with her for 6 or so weeks but DO NOT DISTURB HER. Chuck a towel or something over her so she's dark. Then only fill up water, if you can do this without moving the tank or taking a lid off even better.
