Default mantis decor

what does eveyone use to run through the middle of their mantis enclosure? i was looking for some good fake plant with a sturdy stem to stand up through the jam jar but they are wither too flimsy or too bushy.
also what substrate should i use? i was thinking about not using one as wouldnt the crix get lost in it if they are very small

Coconut fibre with large leaf silk ivy. Got a few springtails in the coco fibre to help clean up. From experience crickets usually climb so getting lost in the bottom probably won't happen.
