Exclamation Wierd- T Disaster

Got a message from a friend to find that one of his young T's was moulting and then just exploded into a cloud of white powder. What could of caused this?
There was no parasite present and it was captive bred.

explosive diarreah!

or more likely, verbal diarreah.
i dont beleive it one second, for a T to be alive in the first place it needs moisture, the movement of Ts is by water pressure, so in order for it to explode in white powder, it would need to be dry. the spider would be long dead before that occured.
maybe some pics or something?:P

possible nematoads? try to ensure he finds out if the 'goo' or what ever is moist, get them to look to see if they can see any worms.
I dont know whether nematoads are likely to rupture the exocuticle or purely endoparasites

I think nematodes is another name for roundworm
Most wild animals have nematodes, that's why it's a good idea to thouroughly wash your hands after handling any wild animals

Nope, completely different. Kills spiders. Paralyses chelicerae, stops them eating and drinking etc and they die.

Absolute load of rubbish!
