Default giant black african millipedes?

hi,

i was at a place in walsall and they had loads of these, they let me hold one, they said they NEVER bite and arent capable of it, is this true? are there any good caresheets for them as ide be interested in one

Not true. I've been bitten by smaller species, in the wild you'd find them feeding on dead animals, so they're more than capable of biting. I'll pm you the link to a caresheet I've written. I've got various species pics via link in signature. What's the shop you were at called out of interest?

my a.gigas have nibbled me,
it just feels like a weird scraping, they arent gonna take a chunk out of you or anything

thanks, it was the butterfly house, not a shop.

Can i just say most of the petshops in walsall know NOTHING about reps, except possibly one, all the others are dumb, i've had one try to sell me a goliath T, but they kept claiming it was a chile rose, most petshops in walsall will do that, try to sell you something even if it isnt what you want, you have to be very careful when talking to them

its not a petshop and sorry its in worksop!! its called the butterfly house, more for little kids really but i went to see what reps they haad, and they were mixing species etc so ive never been again, but i was just interested as to if what they stated was true, but obviously not!
