Question how many of you feed mealies to your spids?

are they any good for them? can you feed the big buffalo mealies, and how often? do they bury straight away?

the only one that really seems to like them is my albopilosum. the rest dont grab them quick enough and they bury themselves.

To prevent that you need to crush or remove their heads.

I don't, I've been bitten by a mealie before when I kept reps, it gave a fair wee pinch and I wouldn't want one of my t's being on the recieving end of that!

Oh, and I could NOT squish/remove their heads.

Sometimes feed morio worms to mine, but I crush their heads because they bite & bury themselves.

The GBB, G.Aureostriata, N.Chromatus & L.Parahybana all love them.

My solifuge ate one this morning. Tried it with Charlotte my albioposum, but she wasnt interested. She ate one, and then the next time I tried she shied away from them.

I feed Morio and regulars. It helps vary the diet.

I chop them up for my slings but offer them complete to adults. Although if they take them almost immediately I lift them the worms out before they bury themselves.
