Unhappy P. Murinus Sling Missing a Leg

As the title says really, just noticed my new murinus sling is missing the whole of one of its back legs!!

Cant imagine how this happened, we were sooo careful when we moved it from one enclosure to another and certaily didnt jam its leg...in fact we didnt even touch it and just let it walk from one pot to another!!

Its only tiny but i cant see it weeping or anything so not sure if this is an older injury maybe?! I just checked its new pot and old pot and no sign of the missing leg.

I know it'll get a new one thanks to the wounders of moulting but still, feel so sorry for the little chappy

Gary.

i gotta say, one or two legs...even three legs isnt a problem..iv had a P fasciata that had a really bad molt but pulled through, i had to cut off 3legs, and he had already autotomised 2 so he had 3legs in total for a molt period, lol funny to watch it eat seeing as oone back leg on one side and two front legs on the other side funny stuff, but they can manage

well ............... it caught its leg in its wheel and the vet said there wasn't much he could about it, being a mouse and the difficulty with thier legs being so tiny, other than to let it rest and take out its wheel. I did that and the next day its leg was missing, so back to the vets I go, who said don't worry he's probably chewed it off as its injured and they do that in the wild. Anyway he checked it and dabbed something on it and gave him a jab to stop any infection and said it looks ok, bring him back in 3 days for a check up. Couple of days went by all seemed well , then at the night time I went to check on him to find he'd chewed 2 more off and only had 1 front leg left, so it was back the next morning to have him put to sleep. The vet said he didn't know why he'd done that with the other 2 legs cos they were fine. Never had mice since.

That an unusual story...and not in a good way!!

Poor little mouse, obviously had a screw loose. I didnt realise mice would chew one leg off let alone 3 of them.
