well scorp venom potency varies, but in the extreme theyr killers.
you cant buy a dangerous scorp without owning DWA license.
scorps are much slower than pedes.
some socrps are easier to breed than others

wherer are you refering for these levels? i dont get it.
they dont really fit into levels, the range of potency is extensive.
Pandinus stings are likened to wasp stings whilst Opistopthalmus carinatus is said to be like a hammer hitting you on each of your heartbeats. Neither are medically significant

Maybe the levels are just a guide from 1-5 to give you a rough idea what to expect...level 1 being the lower more suited to a beginner, 3 obviously medium and then possibly 5 could be the dwa's. This is just a guess mind.

I'm guessing you aint going to be getting a dwa licence'd scorp for your first so i wouldnt worry too much about the venom and as mentioned above, it wont be medically significant (unless you have an allergic reaction). Plus, the idea is to not get stung in the first place

From what ive heard breeding can range from relatively easy to nigh on impossible...you would need to research specific names to see whats what.

Again, characteristics of one species of scorp to the next can vary massivly so i'd say narrow your list down and then you can get more specific answers to any questions you may have.

IMO

level 1 emp's, flat rocks, red claws etc....

level 2 less common unknown stuff some of the little scorps out of chili i'd put here. andthe big thai scrops.

level 3 would be your desert hairy and gold scorps. not DWA but will hurt alot if they tag you

level 4 less potent DWA

Level 5 Killers

As above, not too sure where your getting this level thing from. I'd personally use the LD50 table, as it gives a much more accurate view of potency. Albeit there are biological differences between humans and mice so the poison may act differently you can still take the fact that Androctonus Australis is going to be a damn site more dangerous than a Buthus Occitanus for example.

ANY member of the buthus genus family are classed as DWA as well as a few other species. This eliminates about 95 - 98% of all species you can have without a licence.

Very fast scorpions, and i mean like the fastest scorpions, arnt even close to a centipede. Centipedes are a curse from hell and all need to be cleansed with fire.

Scorpions vary on how hard they are to breed. Babycurus jacksoni are considered relatively easy to breed and have a gestation of ~6 months. Whereas some other species such as Desert hairys are more cannibalistic by nature and so will be harder to breed and have a longer gestation period.

ANY scorpion venom can kill. Just the same as a bee sting can kill if your allergic to it. The only answer IMO is not to get into the situation where youll get stung (easier said than done granted) but even with my emps I use 12" tongs for everything inside of the tank, its just not worth the risk.

Ive seen that 5 stage thing before thats why i posted what i could remember. Think its in some book or something ive got or had. Going by the LD50 list is pointless in this country as DWA wipes out all the fun stuff and al lteh thigns you can keep aint on it.

whats not on the DWA can be graded on easy to hard to keep and would be a usefully sticky for new comers to the hobby.
