Default T.Blondi enclosure opinions?

Can any T.Blondi owners give their opinions on this set up? I haven't put the water dish in yet as I'm still deciding on size and location. I'm going to put acrylic panels over the top of the mesh at the top of the tank to retain humidity and the heatmat isn't on yet. Tank is 60x45x45cm.

Entrance to it's cave. Cave itself is about 10" in diameter.

yeah thats more than big enough, keep an eye on feeding though cos with all the moss it will be easy for a cricket to escape being eaten.

looks good mate, id watch the background, T blondi dont realise how big they are:P its agony to watch a big spider try to climb, and the bacground is only an incentive for them.
hide isnt big enough though ime, you want one big enough so they an hide deeper. mine are usually a good 8inch wide, and 14-16inch deep, always allow for them to dig too, maybe a bark enterance, with only substrate at the bottom, so they can dig if they want...though usually you have to dig it out for them:P
what ever works though
like the design tho

I did wonder about the background but if it's going to climb, background or not it will do it. At least with the background it'll have a better grip than just glass. I've sat the cave on 7" of substrate at an angle and the cave itself is about 7" tall so it's got potentially 14" height and as I said it's about 10" wide.

well, ofcourse its up to you, but T blondi do not climb glass, too heavy. the bacground seriously only adds to issues, if it climbs to the top and falls its going to be more concerning than it trying to climb glass..they simply cant up to you though, but i wouldnt be taking the risk, they are clumbsy and heavy. Iv been keeping Theraphosas for years, and have exp with many individuals of both species, and i simply will not add backgrounds to the big heavy spiders for the fact that they will climb it because its there. If its not there they pace around but never endangering themselves from a fall.
Though, after browsing again,.it doesnt look too high, but still, why risk

I'll take the background out, cheers

Edit, actually just whipped the tape measure out and the furthest it could drop is 10" and the substrate is coconut fibre and moss so what are the chances of it being hurt? As an adult it's leg span will probably be bigger than the drop...?
