Actually i have some if you read my signature.

And its natural selection, it would happen in the wild. Animals kill each other off and the strongest survive. Its just how nature works. Ethically speaking we have no part to play, they kill and eat each other and the ones that die are the ones that wont survive anyway. All you have left is the strongest ones.

i understand thats what they do, but the other thing you need to take into consideration is that they are not wild (at least the ones i have i mean). it all sounds like a ethical debate to me which i think should be saved for a new thread..

i think il keep them together for a short while as nymphs then seperate them after a couple of weeks.

thanks for your input

i started with this many which was about 300 hatched on March 20, 2008

Guess how many i got to adult? 4 males and 1 female..out of 300.that wasnt by them eating each others they just die for no reason..they have big characters tho..mine always want to fly and hate being keped in a big sweetie jar..it wants to roam and fly around my bedroom all day..bloody thing..lol

I had about 90% success rate with chinese mantids and about 10% with the european.
still i think all mantid nymphs need misting and feeding EVERY day.

Not all species of nymphs should be misted everyday. But it is okay for most.
