Default Blondi

My little baby is growing up. Received it on 28th May measuring 7cm in body length.

It moulted on 29th June and here it is a few days after moulting

and now here we are on 14th July today eating a cricket and getting it's lovely brown colouring back. It's nature has changed a lot since moulting. Previously it would spend all day hidden but now it spends all day in the open. It's also started eating out in the open where as until a few days ago it would grab the food and run.

Nice pics

Yours has a much larger rear end than mine, ive got a scrawny looking Blondi

Hopefully mine will be back to to size soon enough though after its 5 week fast...mine is still on the 'grab and run' tactics with food mind. She did take 5 crickets last feed over a period of about 5-6 hours mind.

Do you just throw all the crickets in at once or one at a time...and also how many? At the moment i do one at a time as they just want to burrow under all the moss otherwise!!

I feed one cricket a day and take its back legs off to prevent it escaping so easily, not that they're given much of a chance to escape. I drop them right in front of the spider.

I do the leg thing as well...hate having to do it mind

So do you feed one cricket every day as opposed to a few crickets once/twice a week then?

Also, is this a good method of feeding? Not sure where i got it from (off here somewhere i'd imagine) but ive always thought feeding was usually done as i mentioned above??

Or is it not important, as long as its eating?!

Yeah, I feed one cricket per day. It doesn't really matter how you do it. There's lots of places in my tank that crickets could hide in, so by dropping one in a day and seeing the spider grab them I know they're being eaten.
