While I was searching for eucalyptus I came across a guy asking £20 for an adult female. Do they really command such high prices? and why? I was quite taken a back buy it.

i was selling adult pairs for £10
as are many people ,
& the only reason i was charging that much was the amount of eucalyptus i had to source

What am I doing wrong? One has died and the one with the twisted rear end won't eat. Help please before any more hatch.
I have the baby in a locust carton with moist kitchen roll in a warm room with water gel. Could the gel have caused the death it is what I use for the live food but contains calcium.
Strange that the deformed one is still going but lost the 'ok' one.

i wouldnt bother with the gel tbh ,
i have no idea if it would be detrimental to their health , i just think regular spraying works just fine.
as for losses , make sure the eucalyptus is fresh (change every couple of days for more fresh cut)
keep humidity up for first couple of instars,
& if this fails -console yourself with the fact that it just happens sometimes

Yeh suppose your'e right it's just that they looked so strong and healthy compared to other hatchlings I've had that have come on great guns. Any way hope some more hatch cos I've ordered a eucalyptus plant now.
My daughter now calls my living room the jungle room.
