Well if its just one fang then it should still be ok to kill and eat the insects and a new one will appear on the next moult. Chances are it broke its fang off wilst using the fangs for climbing. If its an exo terra with the wire mesh or the plastic tanks with plastic vented lids then it will have broke a fang off using them to hold on. For some reason Brachys are a nightmare for this sort of habit. Mine tries to do it and I usually get them to unhook the fangs as they are twisting them and holding on horizontally which the fangs arent designed that way. Just as well it wasnt both fangs otherwise it would be a case of handfeeding mashed insects or cutting the head off mealworm and squeezing the inside while the spider eats which could take hours. Is it just one fang?? I think you will be ok

You sure it's not a broken shed? Has it got 'meat' inside? If so she may slowly regrown one each time she sheds, but it may be a bit wonky/small.

Ive only just found it and she is sitting down so i havent had time to inspect the other one Its not in a exo terra its in a small glass tanjk which has a rim round where the lid sits on which she likes to hook her fangs over so i wouldnt be surprised if thats how its happened On the plus though i have just bought a 2.5 foot glass fish tank for her and my chilean so she wont be able to do it again Thanks guys ill post up when i get a chance to have a closer look! Oh and i dont know how long it will be till she shed as i accquired her from a friend who didnt really look after her and i was told she is fully matured

Mexican Red Knee eating habit

Just an update on my mexican redknee situation.

My redknee lost both its fangs during a bad moult about 10 weeks ago and it could catch its food but could not kill it to eat it.

This spider moulted 2 weeks ago and now has a usable set of fangs and is feeding well so dont give up hope.
