Default Live rodent feed

I'm sorry if I offend anyone but I REALLY don't agree with feeding live mice to ANY invert unless it's the ONLY way to get him/her to feed. There is no point in it what so ever!

Me neither. I don't agree with it in any animal.. spiders, snakes whatever.
I've seen a video of a spider (Theraphosa blondi) attacking a live mouse.. the poor mouse took 45 minutes to die.... Laying in the spiders fangs, still squeaking. It's horrible. There's no need for it. You can buy them already dead, and once defrosted, and therefore warm, most animals will take it.

People actually do that? That's HORRIBLE! I doubt many do it though.

I bet he just did it for the attention. If you see the mouse's remains afterwards you'd feel sick.

I have seen a few vids of people feeding live mice to tarantulas and one of them feeding to a centipede, its a cruel death even worse than a snake I recon, they squeak for ages and as someone said the mess afterwards would be disgusting, also there is absolutely no point when they will take crickets its cruel and disgusting.

I also seen a video of someone feeding a live mouse to a tank of piranas once thats also a horrible death although it seemed pretty quick.

I will get slated for this, but I dont agree for visual pleasure, but for needed feeding then yes, but whats with all the world peace, it just a mouse, most (not all) people would happily kill one if they were found in their homes or more than happy to put out mouse traps, byt they freak out when someone feeds one to a snake?

talltom i totally see your point. But killing a mouse by hittin it on the head or with a mouse trap is sudden and the mouse is not stressed nor dying in pain (if done properly) Feeding alive is just letting the mouse suffer unneccesarily
