Default 2cm Tarantula V 1cm Locust

Last night i put a 1cm locust in with my 2cm Brachypelma auratum in a flip lid container with 5mm airholes.

This morning there is no sign of the tarantula just the live locust
so my question is would a locust kill and eat an whole tarantula
or is it more likely the tarantula got out via the 5mm airhole.

Just for reference the tarantula had shed about 2 weeks ago and was eating fine.

in that case then I would say its likely to have happened if there was no way of escape

Thanks for the replies.

I have searched the container and there is no trace of any tarantula remains so if the locust did eat it would be able to eat every bit as the tarantula was twice its size ?.
