I use coco fibre too. Good stuff! Better than peat imo. Yeah should be fine then. I just find exo terra's in general are better for things like Brachy's etc that need the floor space but not humidity.
I keep my sub adult P. ornata in a kk on its end. It holds humidity great! I have again, taped some of the lid to hold humidity a bit more. I do the same for my haplo's. My minax is in a KK and half the lid is taped.

Hi
Thanks for the replies.

I intend standing the 2 exo terra vivs side by side but have hit a catch 22 situation as if i leave in the background with a single
heat mat spanning both vivs behind the glass the polystyrene will insulate all the heat to the outside.

Would it be ok to place a heatmat under the vivs and would the heat from it reach where its needed high up where the avics like to web.

At the moment i have got a redknee in 1 of the exo terras but i keep finding him hanging by just 1 or 2 legs from the mesh top and he has fell several times so i am going to stick him in a faunarium.

I have a similar scenario to you and have put the heat mat between the two vivs , seems to do the trick for me ...Good luck ...

Hi Nigel
Just a quick heat mat placement question.

Should i place the heatmat directly on the glass nearest the chosen webbing spot or should i place lower down on the glass so the heat rises inside.

i would put it on the outside of the tank between the two.

Dont worry about the whole "webbing" thing, since they will choose a suitable spot for warmth and humidity.

Dont put a mat underneath the spider since they will try to burrow if they get to hot to avoid the sun. I am nit sure if this is true of Aviculara, but it is true for most spiders...

I have mine on the lower part of the viv , any heat the rises. also if like mine you got a few inches os moist substrate , it will also aid in the necessary humidity ....
