Default Our Centipedes

Well, after lots of annoying rustling coming from across the room, i come to find a medium sized rusty-red coloured centipedes stuck on some loose sellotape (other sticky tape brands are available!), truly stuck good, so i misted the top of the tape so it ran down to the pede, freeing it.
I have caught it, and am keeping it in a cricket tub atm with some vermiculate/eco-earth (enough to bury in), water and a small flat bark hide.
I plan to keep it for 24 hours or so just to study it, then set it free, just not in my room.
Dont want to be feeding this to my geckos really do i?!
Anyone kept them? i presume we only have one native species?

Theres actually around 40 different centipede species in the UK
i wouldnt feed the geckos the pede, but equallyi dont doubt the geckos would have no problem with it as their very small pedes

Yeah, i didnt want to risk it, they're bloody fast eh?!

If it was rusty color and damn fast, there are great chance that it was a Lithobius sp. you can have a look here:
