Question Inquistive question

You know that bit of the T's enclosure directly over the heat mat, it obviously drys up alot faster because of the heat. Do i keep spraying it when it does so?
Because the other part of the enclosure is still dampish. If it matters i have a Red Leg and have just ordered a Greenbottle Blue

red leg, ANd GBB dont ever need to be sprayed, they love bone dry enclosures.
Best bet is leave the ground dry but make sure there is a awter dish for them.
Other species that require more humid conditions i would recommend only moitening one side of the tank as this way you can kind of get an idea of what 'dampness' the spider appreciates

Thanks C_Strike. I only got my Red Leg on Saturday so its still damp from when they sprayed it. It molted after a day of having it so i might move it into a bigger enclosure. What size do T's get before you have to provide a water dish? So bone dry it is, thats easy to do!!

Thats quite big, my Red Leg is only 1" approx. So what do they drink until they get bigger? Seeing as my T likes bone dry climate

Also how do you keep the humidity up if they like it bone dry? Because if you place the water dish over the heat mat, the water will be warm

With slings I always put some water in a corner of the substrate as well and they get their moisture from there as well as the food.

Shouldn't the heat mat only be underneath half the tank, so the spider can choose?
