Hmm, quite happy with my Orange Baboon. Lots of attituude, when it shows face.

2) What is the most dissapointing that you have bought in the last year, and why..?

Camel spiders, but only from the point of view that they are v small and hard to keep alive.

3) Have you ever had an invert die on you, because you think the conditions were wrong for it...?

Maybe once. I am not sure 100%, but once it was possible.

4) What is your worst online experience, buying T's?

Have not really had one, so far.

5) And best..?

Any that I have bought from Virginia Cheesman have been healthy and quite impressive specimens.

6) Scorps or T's? Which do you prefer, pick one!

Probably scorps, but you cannot get a broad enough selection, at most times.

7) Have you ever lost an adult inevrt and never found it again?

Nooooooooo

If you were to sell one of your collection, what would it be..?

Hmm, not sure, maybe centipede, albeit I really want to keep it!

9) What is the worst piece of advise anyones given you, in this hobby?

Not really had any really bad advise, but you often get a lot of v conflicting advise...

10) As a keeper of these animals, rate yourself, on a scale of 1-10, for responsibility, and experience?

8

11) Do you prefer to buy from local shops that you visit, or online?

Usually one or two preffered online traders

12) What invert would you most like, and why?

A new scorpion, something that was good to look at, active, and maybe a bit on the dangerous side....

13) What invert could you never see yourself keeping?

Dunno if this really counts, suppose it does, but cockroaches..?

Hissing one's..?

I mean, you can go too far with a thing....

14) If you had to choose, would you opt for spiders and scorps that were safe to handle, or those that were for exhibit only? Choose one!

Exhibit.

15) What invert have you found hard to keep alive in captivity?

Camel Spiders, v hard. Had a trap door spider and could not get that to live long

16) If you keep snakes, what would you say is BOTH the most visually attractive yet easy to care for species..?

No idea!

17) Have you ever scaled down your collection, or stopped collecting..?

It's beem scaled down, as a few have died of old age, of late.

1 What do your friends and family think of what you have!

They are used to it now. I don't think they are totally won over, but they don't seem to care about it.

19) If you had an online store, what three things would you want to stock for people?

Weird hybrid species, such as a spider and a centipede, or a snake and a scorpion.

I would offer paypal....

20) If someone with an allergy to shellfish were to eat a cooked scorpion (they are eaten I beleive), are they likely to suffer the same reactions, as they would eating the shellfish, or not..?

No idea. Hope so....

Depends on what the allergy is too exactly i suppose. I would imagine for the fact that it lives in water the properties of the water follow through to the shellfish, maybe its that that the reaction is caused by?
Otherwise if its something to do with the cuticle.. Chitin, Sclerotin yada yada then the reaction would be the same im sure.
TBH im not sure, lol quite a good question, i would research it but im bloody tired right now

3) Have you ever had an invert die on you, because you think the conditions were wrong for it...?

Well I have had two Yami's die and I dont really no why, but think I could of been doing something wrong

4) What is your worst online experience, buying T's?

I bought a tarantula once that when it arrived it was in film pot with no tissue for cusioning so it would of been bouncing around unsurprisingly it was dead, after about 2-3 months of emails, with no reply, I finally made a thread about it naming him on the BTS forum which he replied to, full of excuses, and I finally got my spider well packed this time.

5) And best..?

They have all been pretty good really

6) Scorps or T's? Which do you prefer, pick one!

Tarantulas

7) Have you ever lost an adult inevrt and never found it again?

No

If you were to sell one of your collection, what would it be..?

well I have just sold a GBB and cambridgei, but I had two of each in my collection

9) What is the worst piece of advise anyones given you, in this hobby?

Cant single out any bad advice its all been pretty positive

10) As a keeper of these animals, rate yourself, on a scale of 1-10, for responsibility, and experience?

Responsibility id say, im a responsible person I research the spiders before I buy them and look after them to the best of my ability 9/10

Experience well I have been keeping just over two years so id say im not very experienced in the whole scale of things although I have done alot of reading I still turn to others to answer questions for me quite a bit, and I will be the first to admit I have alot to learn, compared to some keepers two years is nothing, 3/10

11) Do you prefer to buy from local shops that you visit, or online?

Online better selection more trustworthy and cheaper

12) What invert would you most like, and why?

An adult P,irminia

13) What invert could you never see yourself keeping?

Funnel web

14) If you had to choose, would you opt for spiders and scorps that were safe to handle, or those that were for exhibit only? Choose one!

Exhibit they are prettier and I dont handle my Ts anyway.

15) What invert have you found hard to keep alive in captivity?

Chinese mantis and those damn Yami's

16) If you keep snakes, what would you say is BOTH the most visually attractive yet easy to care for species..?

Corns there is a huge range of affordable morphs and they are easy to look after

17) Have you ever scaled down your collection, or stopped collecting..?

I have slowed down my collecting there was a stage when I bought about one a week, but now I just buy what I really want, im also not buying small slings anymore.

1 What do your friends and family think of what you have!

My family are supportive, although i dont think they fully understand, my freinds think im insane.

19) If you had an online store, what three things would you want to stock for people?

20) If someone with an allergy to shellfish were to eat a cooked scorpion (they are eaten I beleive), are they likely to suffer the same reactions, as they would eating the shellfish, or not..?

Havnt a clue

1)
Probably the pair of Chilobrachy fimbriatus 10 got them free which was nice and I miss the female I sold so hoping these will be a breeding pair

2) Havent bought so many inverts this year and all bought were good. Guess the praying mantis I bought died after a couple of monthes even though it was wasnt mature

3)
Quite possibly but no way of knowing mainly when it comes to slings

4)
Havent had one yet so think myself lucky

5)
The spider shop or BTS show every time

6)
Probably tarantula

7)
No I have lost a couple of slings never to be seen though

My juvenile pair of Heteroscodra maculata, they would make a nice breeding project.

9)
Normally petshops that deal mostly with reptiles and give you a tarantula mis identified. I bought a C. fimbriatus and was labelled as C fasciatum

10)
For inverts I would give 8-8 (being modest) with snakes would give 9-3 (read up lots on reps for years but practical keeping is fairly rescent)

11)
Online or shows

12)
Has to be P metallica
13)
G rosea (NCF) find them really dull and boring that or P cancerides (haitian brown taranutla)

14)
Exhibit only

15)
H schmiditi (one escaped and one died)

16)
Guess would have to say corns for visual and easy to keep or kingsnakes

17)
I have scaled down many times but always end up with a couple more again. The most ive had is near 30 and the least is 15 and fluctuates all the time

1
Some think its cool some are terrified some think its weird mixed really

19)
Inverts, vivs both glass and wood and snakes
20)
...wouldnt have thought so but its not very often a person with shell fish alergy eats scorpions so hard to know without trying lol
