Default Cobolt wont settle

A few weeks back my (female) cobolt blue went for an overnight stroll. Herded her back into her tank with no apparent ill affects, but she's not burrowed since and off food.

If it was just not eating I wouldn't worry...could put it down to a moult coming up but for a Cobolt not to burrow I'm concerned something is wrong.

Any ideas?

my cobalt sling took nearly a week to dig a burrow when i had it delivered, maybe its stressed?
Have you tried poking a hole in the substrate to start it off for it?

I find they often fill in man made holes and start their own. Just leave her in peace. She may be due a moult. Was she bought as WC and has she moulted in your care yet? I find fems about to lay egg sacks get very restless!

I've had this one since she was tiny white spot. Moulted numerous times with me over last few years.

Always been very quick to burrow previously after a clean out, without any encouragement from me.

She has a hide, which is where she started her last burrow. This time she is just sitting in the open...plenty of silk going down though.

I don't think she is due a moult, but possible.

Thought I'd add an update...

She *still* hasn't burrowed
No moult as yet either.

She went through a phase of being very quiet lately, not reacting to locust at all, even when it crawled over her she didn't react to spraying, to run or raise up...getting really worried loosing her.

Sprayed tank last night and INSTANTLY up into defensive/strike posture - much more like the reaction I'd expect for a spider caught in the open with no burrow! Hopefully whatever was stressing her has passed, though I'm still none the wiser.

Fingers crossed a burrow will go down soon. When that happens, I can relax again
