Default new jewled beetles - pics

Finally got my new beetles toaday got some [i]Smagdethnes africana oertzeni (purple jewled beetles) and Sagra bouqueti (rainbow frog beetles).

the frog beetles are absolutly stunning, and the pics really dont do them justice, they actually look like matallic jewles.

yep there fruit beetles, so once u get the houseing set up u just put in pieces of fruit and leave them to it really. Most well bread as well if u have the right condition and raise the larvea right. Tho this is not always the case as some need special conditions, such as the frog beetles as they dont bread in capativity.

If u find my other beetles pic thread u can see the other beetles i have.
