i wouldnt recommend handling it at all ever. not for your sake more for his
the thing with T's although they look real mean machines, they are incredibly delicate and faster than you could imagine.
if you was to hold a T and it ran and fell you can pretty much gaurentee you will have a dead tarantula.
the only times any of mine have been handled is when they chose to handle me lol some of my avics enjoy to jump at me.
but i definately suggest you dont handle it

nice choice mate i have one and there great T'S i hold mine quite often
it's up to you if you do decide to hold your t personal choice and all that
people say not to do certain things as they make you go blind but that never stops me lol so i make my own choice about holding good luck and get some pics up

well i guess yeh its personal choice, but so is dipping your hand in blood and waving it in front of a retic, but its a pretty silly idea if you ask me.
if anyone here has ever been bitten by a T i can tell you now it HURTS and your first natural human respose is to smack it of or shake it off which will result in a dead T. people being bitten isnt the concern at the end of the day u buy an animal that is still pretty much wild at heart you take that risk, but i dont feel it fair to let the tarantula take that risk because someone wants to hold it

i dont think il be holding it, for the sake of him/her. Its not worth the risk to me, if it WAS to bite me, like lekkie said its natural to shake it off and i wouldnt want to harm it.

What sort of prices do these g for, mines about 2 inches

Oh dear, 1 T leads to 2 and before you know it you'll have hundreds of them.

I have 3 or 4 of these, they are great T's. I also agree that a T shouldn't really be handled, due to the risk of damaging/killing it.
