Default Recommended Display Tarantula?

Hi all

I'm on the look out for a display tarantula, I dont want one that burrows deep and spends all her time hidden away, and it doesn't have to be a "beginners" tarantula either. OOOh and I'd rather like one that has striking colours, I thought about a goliath or salmon pink bird eater but they are not very colourful.

Any recommendations?

Suppose it depends how much you want to spend?

Maybe go for an indian ornamental. Something arboreal so that you don't end up with a pet HOLE instead of pet TARANTULA, I have a 1" ornamental, and in the last 3 days it's spun some serious web!

Already have an arboreal, so I'm looking for a ground dweller ideally.

Cyclosternum fasciatum, costa rican tiger rumps are lovely.

Haplopelma lividum, cobalt blue (my first T!) are gorgeous.

Gramastola Cala are very nice, I had one until last year. Beautiful metallic pink spidey.

Get some nice Brachypelma too, red legs probably the best for colour.
Personally I've always had a soft spot for white knees.

Look up a picture thread of my inverts and you can see how a GBB stylises its own enclosure.
I personally would highly recommend that you should consider a goliath. These dudes are my favirote, but they get big.
They are opportunistic burrowers meaning that they will occupy existing holes/ burrows and things instead of making their own.
None of mine will change their burrows, and none have since i placed them in the enclosure. They do a little ground work but thats all. Basically this gives you the opportunity to manipulate and style the enclosure so as you can get a decent view at all times.
I can guarantee that you can always see at least the front of the spider poking legs from within the burrow.
My only problem is trying to find something for them to use as a retreat, lol
Guttering waas ok, the spiders are a little big to hide in/under that now
