Default CB B.smithi

Hey guys!
I know sweet FA about spiders and inverts in general. I'm currently doin an exotics management course along side my degree and for one of my assignments I have to discuss the breeding stretegy of Mexican red knees and then plan and justify a CB project for them.

Now I read somewhere that CB slings arn't very common as they are quite hard to breed. Is this true or a bit of misinformation??

Cheers in advance

Kate

i think with B. Smithi its the fact that they take years to mature (around 7 i think) so finding good adults to breed from is a bit of a bother. Most people want the instant pretty adult and arent prepaired to put in the years of waiting to get it.

CB slings are readily available and pretty cheap. It's the adults that are expensive, mainly due to them taking many years to mature and it's illegal to import WC.

Ahhh right I see....that would make sense, coz its always the adults that are harvested out in Mexico, thus taking out generations of breeding animals....it all makes sense!

I must say I've enjoyed reading all this stuff about spiders today

Thanks very much guys!
