Are you 100% sure she is not moulting? Can you describe the 'sac' without disturbing her? If it is a sac she may eat it, but she also may let it hatch. Is there anyone close to you have a good knowledge on inverts? If you were closer I could have popped round.

Suppliers usually mate all their adult females, just incase they don't sell them. It sounds like a sac to me, do you not want it?

Yes, they can have a phantom pregnancy. Egg sacks can look saggy, T's don't wrap them tightly as all the eggs won't get air. They need to be loose, and the T rolls the sac sparidally so all the eggs get the air they need. Have you got a pic of the T before she burrowed? Sex of the T may be able to be determined by looking at it.
