Default Desert Hairy Gestation?

What's the gestation on the desert hairy?

I have an adult female I swear is going to pop any day but she keeps delaying!

Is caring for the desert hairy babies any different to emperor aside from the obvious husbandry, substrate/temp differences?

Never had baby desert hairies before so a bit impatient.

Might post a pic of the mother to be.

Can be a VERY long time (I've seen it go upto a year). They usually look like they are going to burst for ages.

Put me down for a few babies if you're selling them please

It's driving me nuts as she's stopped eating much now which is a bit worrying, I'm not hugely experienced with scorps tbh although I have bred emperor's before.. and have a gravid emp. female at the moment too, who is still eating.. is going off the food normal?

She's been looking fit to burst for at least a month to 6 weeks now but the last week she has put on even more weight and hasn't eaten anything for about 10 days.

gestation may take as little as 2 or as long as 18 months with little visable of sign of anything happening for most of that time. pay special attention to keep in the cage at the warmer end of its range, under fed pregnant females will obsorb some or all of there enbryos. during the last month or so of gestation the female mesasoma will expand noticeably, giving the appearance of having eaten a huge meal. the intersegmental menbrains will be streched to there limit. frequently dozens of miniture white scorpions will be visable within her, she will reduce the size of meals and may refuse to feed completly.

hope that helps you out a little
