Well she nursed it for over a month. I decided to take it out and she didn't let go without a fight. I opened it and there was a small bunch of hard tiny eggs all clumped together!
![]() It's probably for the best although I was getting used to the idea but hey atleast I know she's a female ![]() Was it my fault????? The poor thing was not impressed. She searched the tank over and over again climbing up the walls, looking in every corner - she didn't look happy! How did she not know they were no good, she was sat on the bloody thing 24/7! |

However Im with Becky, were the eggs rock solid? Which species was it? It takes most new world species approx 6 weeks or longer to show any change from egg.

She's a chile rose. From what I've read and seen on web they were not going to hatch. She laid it about 33 days before (I only had her from the pet shop about 6 weeks before she laid it, I didn't even know she was female). I left her with it but everything I've read and everyone's advice has been to remove it after 28-30 days so at 33 days I did. They were completely rock hard in a small clump - I was expecting eggs with legs???? It felt like a rock and were very tiny so surely they were no good??????
