Default I actually held a spider!!

Remember that thread I did saying I wanted a Chile Rose to get over my fear of spiders? Well I went into the rep shop (Cold Blooded) today and the guy knows I've always been freaked out by spiders...and he actually got one out and let it run across my hand dead quick...ahh i didnt know whether to scream or smile but it was more of a nervous giggle. i couldnt watch it on my hand but i flippin felt it.

He gave me a great deal...and gave me the spider for cheaper! So I now have a spidey...a gorge Chile Rose

Me neither although I would love to. I am seriously allergic to a lot of things so did not want to risk it with my Shady Lady

I've never held mine either. Mainly because I'm scared (ha ha how pathetic) but also as I don't want to hurt her. When I asked on here how many hold there T's nearly everyone said they didn't and they shouldn't really be handled.
Each to their own though. I'd probably hold mine ocassionally but I know if she bit me I'd probably drop her (or maybe that should be 'throw her') and kill her so best not hey I love watching her too much to not have her here!

I used to have a fear of spiders, but was also fascinated by them!! I started doing voluntry work at a wildlife park where I met a guy called chris who was equally fascinated by them. He had no fear tho as he was very experienced in handling all kinds of bugs and stuff!

He bought an unusually large chili rose, leg span easily 6". So he invited me round his house one day, and under his guidence the chili rose crawled on to my hand, (I have the video on my phone!!), and all of a sudden I realised there really wasn't anything to be afraid of.

Even if a T rears up it is still reluctant to bite as it needs its venom for its prey, with the exception of some species, (cobalt blue in particular!).

Now I have a chili rose adult, (which I handle regulary), a greenbottle blue juvie,(maybe a bit aggresive to handle!) and a columbian giant sling. and I want more more more!!!

you're much braver than me Jenna!

Just looking at the pic of yours sent shivers down my spine. Mind you saying that I used to feel the same about crix, mealies, waxies and locust and now they don't bother me at all.

Hope she brings you lots of pleasure
