I recieved a MM Tapinauchenius latipes yesterday and he was inside a toilet roll tube padded with tissue, then inside a cricket tub packed with tissue. These are lightning fast so i didn't take any chances. I opened the cricket tub and pulled out the toilet roll tube. Removed the tissue blocking it up from one end and just stood the tube in his new home and let him come out in his own time.
For your one, unwrap it and so you can see it and so it can get out, leave it in his house to be and by morning he should be out and about ![]() |

The bath is a good idea!!
I recently got a chilobrachys fimbriata, that i thought might be a bit of a handful. I put everything in a 64L rub first! He was in a film pot. I put this in his new home, pulled the tissue from the end and left him. He came out on his own. When he'd settled down and disappeared in the new home he dug, a couple of days later, I removed the rest of the tissue and part buried the pot for an additional hideaway. He surprised me. He's a lot calmer than I expected.
