Cuttlebone gets messy and smelly very quickly with GALS, just get a bag of limestone flour and sprinkle it on their food daily.

I make my own "snail porridge" using equal parts limestone flour, porridge oats, and sunflower hearts, whisk it up in a blender to make a powder, sprinkle on their salad leaves and spray with water so it goes all runny, they slurp it up!

Default cuttlefish

hi yes you can use cuttlefish bone with your gal's from any pet shop?. and break it in half and just put it at the bottom of the tank, and they will eat it when they need it.

Use cuttlefish from the pet shop, its fine! has to be as old dears get upset if the bubgie carps it!. If you can find it i also use crushed limestone with my Roman snails. In an emergency wash and sterilize some egg shells in the microwave.Dont ever use stuff from the beach all sorts of icky things in it and on it. If cuttlefish are intelligent how come not one has a full driving license?
