Default mex red kneed

hi i got my baby red kneed arriving tomorrow ,have kept chiles before but not sure about these babies ,have read up but sooo many conflicting ideas ,you people seem to be in the no so help !!! i got a small 9 inch tommy tank with 2"substrate (humus /peat ) half a flower pot n heat ,do they like it humid or dry ,and how often should i feed

how big is the spider?

if its a sling then a 9 inch tub is going to be too big for a looooong time yet,they are very slow growing.

I feed my slings every 4-5 days, they are B albopilosum though and not B smithi like yours.

Not sure on the humidity as I dont keep one yet.

its advertised as a medium so i guess its a juve if its smaller i will resort to waxworm tubs lol

As mark said, that tub will be FAR too big for a sling. I use old camera film tubs for my slings. B. smithis take forever to grow, I have some 6 month old slings that range from 2cm to 5cm - thats how slow they grow. They like humidity, but don't like the substrate wet, so make sure their are plenty of air holes.

would a large flat exo-terra provide the right humidity???
