Do you mean Phormoictopus cancerides?

If so slings and juvies all have a blue/purple tinge to them and brown out as adults.

They are ground dwellers but can sometimes like to burrow so give them a good depth of substrate, they are without a doubt my favourite sp of T, they are amazing spiders.

hi no i dont think it looked like that. one was brown and the orher brown with purple sort of lines coming out from the middle of its carapace. So that was prob a male.
It was on Tarantula-shop.com
slings fo a fiver. wondered if it was worth getting if my sis got her salmon pink sling from there.

Slings - Haitian Brown Birdeater - TarantulaShop.co.uk (Powered by CubeCart) - Haitian Brown Birdeater

It is P.Cancerides, it lists the latin name below the common name.

The ones shown are an adult pair with the male the purple looking one, not all look like that as most brown out as adults, the one I posted is also a P.Cancerides.
