Smile Size of Salmon Pink set up and growth rate?

Hi

I am interested in buying a Salmon Pink Birdeater but wondered what sort of size tank it would need when fully grown. Know they also like burrowing, so know will need decent amount of substrate.

Am only looking to buy a sling at mo, but presume will have a fast growth rate being a bigger species? My Mexican Red Knee sling is taking FOREVER to grow!

Thanks

Salmon pinks grow at lightning speed for a T,they also have never burrowed in my experience,in fact they are one of the best display T's for this very reason, you can always see them!(although many care sheets say different).I would suggest a large terrestrial tank and not to allow too much height as they are a large species and a fall from too high could cause serious damage.

Oh right. I presumed they burrowed as the site I was considering buying the sling from, tarantula~shop, says they do. Am somewhat a newbie in the spider dept though, so do appreciate the advice.

My spiders are handled about once a fortnight, but presuming a salmon pink is best not being handled? Are they particularly aggressive?

Also, won't be putting anything with height in the tank, so don't worry

They can reach 6 inch in just 1 year (depending on feeding). They are the best display T imo as they spend most of their time in the open. Some do burrow, I have 4 and one of mine spends a lot of time in a burrow, but the others stay in the open. As an adult a 2ft viv would be great for it. You could decorate it really well. They can be pretty aggressive, so a deffo for none handling (like all t's imo). They tend to flick hairs quite a lot, so watch your eyes.

dont goliath birdeaters and pinktoe goliaths grow at a really slow rate compared to salmon pinks? We would both like a sling of each of these too, but I dont really wanna wait to have a huge spider lol.

Ok, great, thanks. My chile rose is in a 14 inch tank and am hoping that will last her? Don't know how old she is but she's about 4 inches. Any ideas if that's fully grown?
