Have you got a scientific name? The scientific name for the pink foot goliath ids T. apophysis. They rquire high humidity and get MASSIVE!! Some argue that they get bigger than the T. blondi (goliath birdeater). I have read that some have got to 13 inches.

the person doesnt know the scientific name, its just a little sling atm about an inch across, if that. if it is a T. apophysis what kind of set up is needed when its fully grown, a terrestrial (sp) i presume? with deep substrate?

they are a terrestrial species that require relatively high humidity and will need a large tank with a very deep substrate bearing in mind they can reach "11-"12 sometimes thirteen inches and they sometimes like to bury themselves.

Panama pink foot will indeed be the Theraphosa apophysis. Supposedly bigger legspan than blondi but not as chunky. Mate of mine has a female with a 13" legspan

Panama Pink Foot will be a one of the new undescribed Sericopelma species. It was us who brought the first lot into the UK intially and they are also now being bred. I would imagine wherever you have seen them they orginated from us. They are a nice species and do grow large but the are not an Apophysis.

Cheers

Lee
