Default Huntsman spids

I know people keep camel spiders and widows etc, but isnt it illegal to keep huntsman spiders over here or do you need DWA for any of these?
My local shop is selling them for 15quid.

As far as I know, no Sparassidae sp need a DWAL to own.
Solifugidae are not DWA either.

Hi, the spider thaatusually turns up as a huntsmen is Heteropoda venatoria. they are quick, and jump. They very often turn up in banannas in fruit shops and are sometimes called bananna spiders. I have had several from shops over the years. Nice spiddys.

Their are many members of the family, heteropoids are fascinating so dont be put off by them.Any chance your pet shop has the correct latin name? or will you be allowed to take a picture?. It is probably one of the spiders that most gives me the creeps, and i like spiders.

What size do huntsman spiders tend to get to?

Are they easy to source?

Do they live long?

Steve
