T's don't like light and the heat will cook them so bulbs is a no no! For a rosea a heat mat is only essential if the room it lives in is below 70F.. at that temp the spider would be happy without one.

the chile rose trantula is very docile and will send a warning before it bites there is also a fire trantula i don't keep one but i've been told there also good for starters.

Smile Tarantula

I have a Chilean Rose Hair who is loverly and very docile.

Notice posts saying use bulbs dont not good for a spider an other thing water with cottonwool not a good idea also breeds bacteria.

Just use a shallow dish with enough water but not enough to drown.

Anything wi latin names brachypelma or grammostola eg brachypelma emilia (mexican red leg) or grammostola rosea (chilean rose)!Iv bin lookin in2 gettin a tarantula 4 a long time n there r other species in th families above that make even better starter spiders that r more docile than th usual red kneed or chile rose this site Gallery of tarantulas | Tarantula breeding has loadsa pics wi latin names if u c 1 u like then google th name n c wat care requirements they need!Im wantin a gramostola pulchra at some point think theyr gorgeous!
