Default My new goliath

This is the newest arrival: A T.Blondi (name undecided as of yet)

It has been climbing round quite happily and couldnt wait to get into its new home.

First pic is of the goliath (looking rather blue on camera)
The second pic is of Celia, so you can see how similar the orange stripes are.

GOLIATH

CELIA

Was gonna include a different pic, but photobucket lost most of my pics for some reason no idea why.
Can anyone tell me if the stripes look similar? wondering if Celia may be a T.Blondi and would like to know roughly what age the newbie is (hes about 5inches or so. thanks

Hmmm, i wonder what it is?? Its very pretty!
Why dont you ring the shop you got it from and find out the scientific name.
As i said before, if your after a particular speices, always ask for the scientific name. hope you find out what it is

i hope so. the person i bought it from said they typically dont have stripes, but he's 100% sure its one, as he knows the person that breeds them.
And of course decembers-spawn has one and saw mine in the shop and swears it is. Just I always thought they were big stocky brown spids.

Forgive me but im not sure if this is a 'JOKE' post.

If that should be the case, well then i've fallen for it but i will try to help (again.)

This is so clearly NOT a Goliath and you have been had 'in the net' as they say. Conned. You really needed to heed the advice given to your previous threads and WAIT until the BTS show or travel to a dealer who can supply genuine Theraphosa Blondi, face to face. View / Confirm / Purchase.

Going by the picture of the T supplied, i would say its is one of these two species, but would need to see a more detailed picture.....

1) Homoeomma sp

2) Thrixopelma Cyaneolum

So. Not a Goliath and thats the danger of buying M.O. However, dont be too dissapointed because both species mentioned are very nice spiders to have in a collection, but you will definately need to get a full or partial refund from the store.

PLEASE DONT POST THE POOR THING BACK. Its not the T's fault ! Sorry the dealer let you down.

Good Luck

izan

im not going to post it back. But I will do abit more research into it and see about a refund if it definatly isnt a goliath, but that pic of the black one posted there got marks on its legs, and is jet black like mine.
I wouldnt have been able to go to any shows. I dont have transport of my own, I cant leave the house that much, especially to travel, as I care for my partner at home every day.
So when someone told me that theres a really good shop near them and they are a regular and its definatly a t-blondi, then i jumped at the chance.
I found one pic of the first species you mentioned it could be, but no care sheets and nothing on the second. Do you know of any please or could you tell me the common names?

Both species do not have common names (which is a blessing) but i will do a quick search for you now and post the links back in a sec.

Both species would be worth around £30-£35 each
