Default Widget

I finally managed to get some semi-decent pix of Widget my Common Musk, it's a tricky little turt to photograph, at only 28mm SCL it's kind of hard to focus on, and it gets really active as soon as it sees me and starts dashing about thinking it's feeding time!
Anyway these are the best I've managed so far, hopefully they'll improve with practice...

Thanx Matty. Musks seem to be a rather underrated species, but they're great fun as anyone who has one will tell you, really engaging little chaps.

Looks fabtastic!
These are the only turtles (musks and razorback musks) that have ever really appealed as a pet to me. They seem to have everything going for them - size and attitude. Why are they not more popular? From what I can gather they're not hugely expensive either.

I have two of these guys and they are awsome!!!!!! It may be the name stinkpot that puts people off, not a bad smell bit like bitumin, but they don't smell much when they are used to you. I love them and would like more eventually.

Really well, out in the sun with all the others and loving it, she's always one of the first basking in the mornings! Did you see the photos I posted here Today in the pond?

The small ones on the bogwood are real (Amazon Swords), the larger ones are fake, Musks generally don't touch veg so plants are safe with them!

Nor do Musks, they clamber about mostly, they can swim but not very well.
