They aren't hard to breed if you know what you're doing and do it right... compared to the likes of roaches they are more complicated to breed and require more time and attention to detail. Keep them hot, dry and supplied with the right food...
...then learn about the laying side of things, substrate + depth and watering frequency etc.
It isn't too difficult, but unless you needs lots of locust or you plan on selling them, I wouldn't bother... they take a lot more time and patience compared to anything else I breed or have read about that I might breed.
