I keep my royal in a 3ft viv and have done since i got him as a juvenile. I use a heatmat statted to stop burns to provide terrestrial heat as well as a red "night bulb also on a on/off stat to keep up ambient air temps. As for substrate i use a tile effect lino cut to fit as its easy to clean abd distributes heat well from the mat to provide a good gradient but thats just my choice i used to use bark and coconut fibre and that holds the humidity at around 60% prety well although this is just a touch high for day to day so i switched and now just have an appropriatley sized water bowl to do this. I picked up my normal for 30 at a garden centre but morphs can be much more expensive, for example im looking at an albino after xmas myself an its priced 399 and as some morphs go thats extremely cheap. Hope this helped
