The place I got her from told me they were feeding her small adult mice, but when I feed her, she's active straight away. I've never had a royal before but I've had a corn snake for just under a year and when I feed her, she usually hides after she's eaten to digest. Is it normal for a royal to be active after eating? She also doesn't have a bulge, I'm wondering if I'm feeding her too small of a meal. She's pooping fine and everything and she appears perfectly healthy.

The shop also said I should move her onto rats asap, but I know nothing about the sizes of rats, so what's the equivalent to a small adult mouse?

Thanks.
This is a good thread regarding rodent sizes.

Rats are better for regius as they contain more calcium.
