Think about the animal in question, and then check out it's natural environment. A bearded dragon comes from the outback, there is no light at night, the temps can drop to 40f, they are exposed to some 350~400 uW/cm2 of uvb. they will be exposed to 150,000 lux of light at midday.
Once you have these facts, apply them to your viv
