I left mine soaking in the bath for an hour in bleach. I then rinsed everything off using the shower and then left it to soak for a couple of hours in clean hot water.

After this final soak I removed all excess water using a towel and laid them across the radiators in various rooms around the house. Turned on the heating and the radiators dried it out by morning.

As for the rocks give them a good scrub with warm soapy water and rinse off then place them on a shelf in the oven and bake at full heat for an hour. This will ensure the rocks are clean and sterile.
