Mmmm, suspect information here, I think.

The Leopard Gecko Handbook mentions the longest lived captive Leopard Geckos (29 years old, I believe) and adds that mealworms were their staple diet - though crickets were also provided. I'd have no hesitation in feeding my Leos mealworms - except the fussy bugers just don't like them.
