Default Fire bellied newt, basic aquarium setup

I'm thinking of buying some Cynops orientalis from my local pet shop and just want some advise as i've never set up an aquarium before, unless goldfish in a 2 bowl counts?

I have a 4 foot fish tank with a hood, which im going to divide with a piece of glass into 1/3 land 2/3 water. I've also brought a pretty basic looking corner filter, no medium yet..

Now my questions;

1. I know i don't want much of a current, so what sort of air pump is best? Model, power etc.

2. What sort of lighting is appropriate? I know i don't need UVB...

3. Does anyone have a link to a list of safe plants for Fire bellied newts?
