Question He wont feed????

Does anyone have any ideas why my cuban treefrog wont feed? He is in an 18/18/18 inch exo terra with good ventalation and air circulation, with 26 degrees day time and 23 degrees night time (roughly). He has brown stage 4 crickets that are gut loaded. He is very active at night and sleeps all day. He has plenty of tree cover and looks healthy and happy. So, any ideas?

Oh and i got him on tuesday.

you need to give him time to settle in. try him on waxworms they move about alot more than crix , as the frog hunts on movement. If not he will eat when he is hungry

Waxworms are a pretty shoddy food, cubans in my experience can be fairly susceptable to lipidosis (seen as cloudy eyes etc).

Let him settle in for at least a week and if it's definitely a male I'd offer smaller food. They need smaller food than most treefrogs of that size and just wont eat anything that gives them the creeps!

as said just give him time to settle. i dont normaly feed on the first day or 2 (depending on age/size of the frog).

i have tried to use wax worms before, but they just burrow into my substrate. i find it better to let them turn into moths and then offer them, my red eyes love them! but dont worry crix are more than active enough to get a feeding response from a frog, especialy a hungry one!
