Default kit for chameleon

just started doing my research on getting a chameleon (think a yemen) and seen a lot say there need high uv E.G. 10-12% but know you do the 14% is it best to go whit the 14% or stick to the 12%?
planing on putting this whit one of your Arcadia Deep Heat Projector lamps
viv size will be 2.5to 3ft long 2ft deep and 4ft tall made of wood whit a mesh front door

The choice of lamp is totally dependant on the needs of the species, the size and type of enclosure and the distance between the fitting and the animals head when seated at the top of the basking zone.

You will need to be sure of the species before you buy your lamp.

If it was for a yemen, fitted inside of the the viv with no mesh in the way and the distance between the lamp and animals head when basking was 12-15", you would use the T5 D3+ 12% lamp and reflector of 24w.

If the basking zone was 15-18" you may consider using 14% 'DragonLamp'. In both cases the available energy would be the same, the increased distance between the lamp and the animal would ensure that.

If the basking spot was 10-12" from the animal, then you would use the D3 6%.

Panthers require slightly less energy at basking, so a reduction in UV-B % is factored in.

Fit all heat and light together, cross the beams of the DHP with the UV source and your JungleDawn if you intend to grow live plants.

This will create a wonderful full-spectrum for your animal.
