Default Cornsnake Setup

Hi,

I use Arcadia products on my Ackie moniitor setup and would like to do so for a hatchling corn that I may be getting.

I've taken a steer from https://www.arcadiareptile.com/north...big-bio-build/ (perhaps replacing the 24 watt D3+UV Flood with a 6% T5) but I'm not sure how feasible this is going to be for a hatchling corn in a small (perhaps 2') viv.

Does anyone have advice about how to set up a nice small enclosure until the corn is ready to move into an adult viv?

Hi John,

Many thanks. It will be a wooden viv c.2' x 1.5' x 1.5'.

Looking at your site I see that the shade-dweller T5s are appropriate for hatchlings and that these come in a length that might be appropriate.

Yes, while small and in a smaller viv as you have, the ShadeDwellerPro fitting is the best choice. It is a nice gentle lamp that will provide good access to light and shade for you animal to self-regulate.

You can add a 12" JungleDawn-LED Bar also if you wish to grow plants. Heat can be provided by a 50w DHP and dimming stat or Halogen lamp if suitably caged off.

You can increase the heating and lighting as the snake grows and you move it up into bigger vivs.
