Default Snake eggs

This season I have had a few clutches go bad the eggs have rotted and stink. What could be causing this?

What eggs? Could be so many things. Eggs may not have been viable in the first place. Incubating substrate may have been too wet, temps may not have been right. Each species has different requirements.
