Default Unexpected Clutch (House Snakes)

Hi Guys,

My Female House snake has laid an unexpected but very healthy clutch, eggs appear pearly white and under the light, you can see they're fertile.

The problem is I was not expecting her to lay and do not have an adequate incubator. At the moment the only thing I can do is put the eggs in a cardboard box, with a heat mat providing heat (hopefully enough)

Any advice until I can get a proper setup?

Get a polystyrene box, put the heat mat on the bottom then put two strips of wood or similar either end of the mat. Use a plastic box with damp vermiculite for the eggs. Put the box on the strips so it is not in contact with the mat directly. Make a small hole in the box for the stat probe and off you go.
